Church Comms Conference (CCC) will create an environment of learning that will explore the basics of developing a communication strategy that will cater to diverse audiences and using the most effective channels. Our aim is to help the church improve their internal and external communication by offering practical teaching from leading professionals.
Why is this important?
The methods for reaching our communities are advancing quickly and churches need to keep pace with best practices. Due to technology, the opportunity to reach the world is enormous and there is currently very little training on offer to help bring the church into this new era.
Who should attend?
Church Comms Conference is designed for all church communicators. This includes pastors, PR team members and those responsible for church media. Anyone who is involved in planning and executing Sunday service, in-reach and out-reach should be in attendance.
TOPICS COVERED
The conference will cover a range of topics that will ultimately fall under three categories - digital communication, databases or systems, and outreach through mass media.
Digital Communication
Sessions will include a look at the use of websites, social media, apps and other digital communication channels. The sessin will take a look at the concept of e-church, using technology to not only enhance Sunday worship, but engage a digital audience.
Whether you manage a small or mega church, membership database management is crucial. This session will include discusions on data protection and a review of CRM software.
Sessions would take a deep dive into the use of mass media tools like magazine, radio and television. It will also look at specific audience groups like the elderly and university students.
BCEC (Birmingham Conference & Events Centre) is located in the heart of Birmingham’s city centre. The venue is located adjacent to the Holiday Inn building.
